Ceramic Pillow

2017, 2021, ceramics

This porcelain pillow is part of a series I created in 2017, inspired by my dreams. It was included in my portfolio when applying to SAIC, but due to technical limitations at the time, I couldn't use real ceramics that required firing. As my final project before graduation, I revisited this work to resolve my past regret, completing the intricate and fragile forms with real ceramics. Created during a period of anxiety and sleeplessness, this piece embodies a sense of fragility and unease, while also representing a reconciliation with unfinished aspirations.
